Audience

This draft documentation is under development and is reviewed in-line with GO Publisher Early Access releases, ahead of the GO Publisher v3.0 full release.

GO Publisher Background

The GO Publisher product range is made up of the following components, enabling you to publish data stored in your database to open standards including GML, KML and XML:

GO Publisher Desktop - configuration of the transformations required for desktop and enterprise data publishing

GO Publisher Agent - enterprise bulk data publishing service via an ordering system

GO Publisher WFS - direct access web service for data exchange over the internet

Installation Guide

Before using GO Publisher, you will need to download the appropriate GO Publisher installer from the Snowflake Customer Portal support website. The GO Publisher Desktop Installation Guide explains how to do this as well as set up licences and install (or uninstall) the software.

GO Publisher Desktop User Guide

The GO Publisher Desktop User Guide is your starting point, whether you are using the GO Publisher Desktop, GO Publisher Agent or GO Publisher WFS. You can then continue onto the advanced documentation such as Advanced How To and Setting up Configuration files  to extend your knowledge and configure advanced settings (particularly useful for Web Feature Services).

Understanding Error Messages will help you resolve any errors you many encounter.

GO Publisher Workflow User Guide

GO Publisher Workflow is the data ordering (asynchronous) deployment option of the GO Publisher Product Suite. GO Publisher Workflow Overview provides an introduction. Requirements needed for installation and deployment are described in Pre-Requisites and instructions for deployment are outlined in Deployment Steps.

The GO Publisher Workflow User Guide provides information on creating publishing jobs and using the Workflow Manager, and the GO Publisher Workflow RESTful API User Guide describes how to link to the API for integrating it into another data ordering or work-flow system.

GO Publisher Web Feature Services (WFS)

GO Publisher WFS provides you with the capabilities to publish data over the internet. If your not familiar with what a Web Feature Service (WFS) is then Introducing Web Feature Services is a great place to start. 

GO Publisher WFS User Guide provides key information about the operations available for use with GO Publisher WFS and how WFS can be used within client applications.

The initial set up and administration of a WFS using GO Publisher is covered by the GO Publisher WFS Administrator Guide.

Release Notes

The GO Publisher release notes provide background information to Snowflake Softwares development process and provides explanatory information on what is included in our release notes.
